Jesús Aragón is the CEO and Co-Founder of Identy.io, a deep-tech company building the global standard for on-device mobile biometric authentication. With over 20 years of experience spanning mobile technology, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship across more than a dozen countries, Aragón has dedicated his career to one conviction: that every person on earth deserves a secure, trusted, and private digital identity — verifiable from any smartphone, anywhere in the world. His journey in digital identity began at the FIDO Alliance, which he co-founded alongside PayPal, Lenovo, Google, and Nok Nok Labs through Agnitio Voice ID — a landmark moment that established the global standards for phishing-resistant, password-less authentication. Before that, he built his technology and business foundation at Hewlett-Packard and Texas Instruments, before moving to Silicon Valley to hold executive positions across multiple ventures. He led Audience Inc. through a successful IPO and drove Agnitio's acquisition by Cirrus Logic — giving him rare, end-to-end experience in scaling deep-tech companies from startup to global enterprise. In 2017, Aragón co-founded Identy.io in Delaware with Antony Vendhan, identifying a fundamental gap in the identity verification market: existing solutions required expensive hardware, cloud infrastructure, or compromised user privacy — making them inaccessible to billions of people and fragile against increasingly sophisticated fraud. Identy's answer was radical simplicity: process all biometrics — face, fingerprint, palm — entirely on the device, with no servers, no additional hardware, and no compromises on privacy or security. Under his leadership, Identy.io has achieved NIST evaluations for face and fingerprint matching accuracy, ISO/IEC 30107-3 Level 2 PAD certification with a perfect score (the only mobile biometric vendor to achieve this at full on-device processing), and MOSIP compliance for ABIS. The company operates globally across financial services, government, telecommunications, and travel, with deployments in Africa, Latin America, North America, and Europe. Aragón is a recognized thought leader in digital identity, biometric policy, and the future of passwordless authentication. He has authored articles for Biometric Update on building public trust in digital identity and regularly engages with government agencies, standards bodies, and industry forums on the intersection of privacy, security, and inclusion in the digital identity ecosystem.
